WYETH, WO2007/92435, A2, (2007) Step 22B; 4-morpholin-4-yl-piperidine-l-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (3.85g, 14.2) was dissolved in 25 mL dichloromethane and 2OmL trifluoroacetic acid was added and stirred at room temperature fo r 90 minutes. The reaction mixture was then evaporated then co-evaporated twice with dichloromethane. The semisolid residue was triturated with 75mL ether, stirred at room temperature 1 hour, then fil tered to give 5.03g of 4-piiperidin-4-yl-morpholine, bis- trifluoroacetic acid salt (89percent) as a white solid.
